Responding to an invitation from Sports Minister Dan Kersch last June, the President of the Shanghai Sports University, Mr. Chen Peijie, accompanied by HE Ambassador of China in Luxembourg, and their delegations were received at the Coque for a visit of the facilities of the National Sports and Cultural Center and in particular the High Performance Training & Recovery Center (HPTRC).
The highest official of the Shanghai Sports University said he was impressed by the facilities he visited, and expressed the wish to see the cooperation, which begun 5 years ago in table tennis, extended in the future to other sports, especially in the field of scientific research on sport. Sports Minister Dan Kersch warmly thanked the Chinese delegation for responding favorably to his invitation launched six months ago, and invited the Chinese national table tennis teams to return to Luxembourg for a training camp ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
